When each hotel operates as an island, the group does not add up. We build the brand architecture that turns properties into a strategic asset.
Tell us about your case
You recognise this even if you haven't said it out loud
Creating a brand for a hotel group means defining an architecture that unites the properties under a common identity without erasing the character of each one. The problem, almost always, is not aesthetic. It is structural.
Each property has its own website, its colour palette, its tone on social media. A guest staying at two of your hotels does not know they belong to the same group. OTAs treat you as independent hotels because you yourself have not built the narrative that unites them.
Your reservations team does not know what story to sell. When you negotiate with distributors or seek investment, you present an Excel spreadsheet of properties. Not a brand. The group exists on the organisation chart. It does not exist in anyone else's mind.
What changes when the brand works in your favour
Guests repeat at other properties: they understand that they are part of something coherent, not a coincidence.
OTAs and distributors negotiate with you as a group: you stop losing bargaining power property by property.
Your team has a common discourse: from reception to revenue management, they know what each hotel represents and what unites them. The brand stops being a file on a server and becomes an operational tool.
Each new opening does not start from scratch: the brand architecture is already ready to absorb the next property without redoing everything.
How we do it
Audit by property: we identify what exists, what works, and what breaks coherence between hotels.
Definition of the umbrella brand: purpose, positioning, and emotional territory of the group as a single entity.
Brand architecture: we decide whether each hotel operates under the master brand, as an endorsed brand, or as an independent brand with links. The decision depends on your mix of audiences and your expansion strategy, not a template. If you want to understand the possible models before starting, here we explain what brand architecture is.
Scalable identity system: visual, verbal, attitudinal, and sensory universe. That works in a four-star urban property and in a rural resort without either of them looking forced.
Internal activation: the team has to live the brand before the guest feels it. Without this, the previous work goes nowhere.
The complete brand strategy process for a hotel group takes between three and five months. It depends on the number of properties and the complexity of your situation.
What changes when the brand works for the group, not against it
In hospitality and tourism we have worked for projects like Corona Hotels, Bodegabierta, or La Vega de Salvatierra. They are part of an archive of 124 projects in 23 sectors. The lesson that repeats itself: the guest does not buy single rooms. They buy a promise they recognise when they return.
When closing the project, your group has:
A brand architecture document that establishes what each property shares with the group and what it retains as its own.
The identity system visual, verbal, attitudinal, and sensory, with its applications by hotel.
A talking points guide for reception, reservations, and revenue: what to say about each hotel and the group, in the same words.
Criteria to integrate the next opening without redoing the previous work.
In the first conversation we show you hospitality projects and explain what decisions we made in each and why.
Frequently asked questions
Won't we lose the identity of each hotel if we put them under the same brand?
No. Hotel brand architecture exists precisely to resolve that tension. Each property maintains its character, its name, its personality. The group gains coherence without uniformity. The goal is not for all hotels to look the same, but for the guest to understand that they belong to something with criteria. These are different things.
How long does it take to build a hotel group's brand?
Between three and five months for the strategy, the identity system, and the internal activation. The timeframe depends on the number of properties and the complexity of your audience mix. Groups with very different hotels from each other—urban, rural, luxury, mid-scale—do not take longer; they require more precision in the architecture phase. That is exactly what this process resolves.
Does this work if our hotels are very different from each other?
Especially in that case. Brand architecture is the tool designed to manage diversity without losing coherence. A group with homogeneous properties needs less structure. A group with urban, rural, and different category hotels needs an architecture that decides what they share and what differentiates them. Without that decision made explicitly, each property will continue to pull in its own direction.
Do you only work with large groups?
No. We have worked with groups starting from two properties. The right moment is not when you have fifteen hotels. It is when you want the second one to add to the first. If you are opening a second or third property without having resolved the brand structure, each opening adds complexity without adding group value.
If you are opening a new property in the next twelve months, this is the moment
Every opening without brand architecture is a missed opportunity to build a group. Not to decorate a reception. To build an asset that appreciates with each property you add.
